Pattern Notes

To Finish

With Yarn E, embroider cross sts on top of Back of Snake, using image and Stitch Chart: Cross Stitch Pattern as guides. Every cross st covers 2 rows and 2 sts.

Attach safety eyes between Rows 166 and 167 with 12 sts in-between.

Place Belly and Back together with RS outward, thread yarn tail from Back through last row of Back and Belly to close mouth.

Join Yarn F with ss to second last row end of Back and Belly, working through both row ends of Back and Belly to join pieces together, stuffing as you go and placing rattle in tail, 1dc in same row end and in every row end to tip of tail, 3dc in tip of tail, 1dc in every row end to second last row end of Back and Belly, fasten off.

Cut 3 x approx. 20cm pieces of yarn in preferred colour, thread through mouth and fold in half. Make 5cm long braid to create tongue, tie knot at end and trim yarn tails. 

Weave in all ends.

Opmerkingen

Rug en Buik worden afzonderlijk in rijen gehaakt van staart tot kop. Kruissteekjes worden toegevoegd op Rug waarna beide delen aan elkaar worden gehaakt. Keer werk na elke rij. Hecht afgeknipte draden gaandeweg af door in stn met nieuwe kleur mee te nemen.

Afwerking

Zie Borduurschema: Kruissteekpatroon en borduur met Kleur E kruis stn op Rug van Slang, gebruik foto als voorbeeld. Elke kruis s is 2 rijen hoog en 2 rijen breed.

Bevestig veiligheidsoogjes tussen Rij 166 en 167 met 12 stn ertussenin.

Leg Buik en Rug op elkaar met GK naar buiten, haal met naald draadeinde van Rug door laatste rij van Rug en Buik om mondje te sluiten.

Hecht Kleur F met hv aan in een na laatste rij-eind van Rug en Buik, haak door zowel rij-eind van Rug als van Buik om delen aan elkaar te haken, vul gaandeweg op en plaats rammelschijf in staart, 1v in zelfde rij-eind en in alle rij-einden tot puntje van staart, 3v in puntje van staart, 1v in alle rij-einden tot een na laatste rij-eind van Rug en Buik, knip draad af.

Knip 3 draden van ongeveer 20 cm lang in kleur naar keuze, haal door mondje en vouw dubbel. Maak vlechtje van ongeveer 5 cm om tong te vormen, leg knoopje in uiteinde en knip overtollig draad af.

Hecht alle draadjes af.
